Any story behind this? Picture the scene - a rare Saturday night to myself - not much on TV - so I do some eBaying - I always tell my girlfriend when she goes away and leaves me home alone with eBay that only bad things can happen as money will be spent - and I guess in someways that was the case here. I was looking to secure some movie memorabilia but hadn't come across much. A week prior to this night I had seen the latest Schwarzwnegger movie 'The Last Stand' and it wasn't a bad movie - but equally not something that I would class as an all time favorite. Premiere Props were auctioning off some pieces from this movie and I thought I would throw down a few bids for the various items on offer - not expecting to win much. I put some bids in - then called it a night. Cut forward 8 hours. Emails open - lots of 'you won this item' and the reality that I had won 90% of what I had bid on and from this items from The Last Stand now take residence in my collection. What exactly is it? A Compass Watch that belongs to Lewis Dinkum (played by Johnny Knoxville) in the film. Its an army type watch ideal for knowing what direction you are going in - which ties in perfectly with the adventurous gun fan that Johnny plays in the movie.
Is it Rare? This was my most expensive win out of the auctions that night - it had several other bids from intested parties and I haven't seen another like it from the movie with COA since for sale - so potentially yes.
Will it be back? Unlikely - this seems to be a one of kind option in terms of the prop for the movie.
Where can I get one now? You won't get one of these as a Last Stand Movie Prop - www.premiereprops.com seems to own lots of the props from the movie which they are listing on eBay and via their website so for other items from the film check them out.
And Finally I have to admit I didn't think I would win this item - but somehow I did. I will show other items I won in the comings weeks but for now I will keep hold of this and see if I can spot it in the film now it is out on DVD.
