Without further ado here are this weeks 'Picks of the Week' Sunflower #2Sunflower #1 was a fantastic read - infact it was so good it's made issue #2 a 'must get'. As we mentioned when we championed this comic last time it has 'movie potential' all over it! Expect this to fly off the shelves and vanish online - get your order in on this now before it's too late! The monster Black Mask hit reaches issue #5 and shows no sign of slowing down in regards to its popularity. With early issues being reprinted to match demand expect this one to be a sell out too (seems a week for in demand comics). Don't miss out on this one either - get your copy on the link below - We Can Never Go Home #5 Totally Awesome Hulk #1Amadeus Cho - remember the name! Why? Simple - you might be hearing lots about him in the coming years - he's set to be a Marvel Superstar. The Kid Genius takes up the mantle as the new Hulk - and in issue #1 of a new series expect this to be one of the biggest sellers of the week! This past weekend saw Local Comic Shop Day (LCSD) 2015 take place.
The event was exclusive to a number of shops across the globe and featured a selection of books printed in extremely low numbers. One of the hot pick ups of the weekend was the Black Mask Secret Box set which had - Young Terrorists #1 We Can Never Go Home #1 Liberator #1 Ballistic Vol 1 Godkiller Vol 1 Inside it - all with limited edition covers. Gone from shops, Forbidden Planet Online still has these for sale online - all be it in limited quantities. Don't miss out on these as they will be gone in double quick time! Selling regularly in excess of £10 this is a book that doesn't seem to be slowing down - so if you see one kicking round at cover - grab it!
A much rarer book to get is that of the Diamond UK retail sketch variant. This has seen prices hit online of £50-£75. As of time of writing Forbidden Planet have copies of this for £25!! This will be a book people will want to own 'in the future' so grab a copy now if you get the chance! As always we make a selection for the 'must haves' of the week whether it be for speculation or reading purposes. Self Storage #2Just a few weeks back we chose Self Storage #1 as a pick of the week - and it didn't disappoint at all! The much anticipated second issue comes out this week and we fully expect this to be a must have and must read book once again. Picking up from last week we get to find more of what Chris will do with his storage unit and the undead female Jessica who is inside it! 451 have a smash series on their hands here! Pick up your copy below - Self Storage #2 Henchgirl #2The first issue of Henchgirl was remarkably hard to get hold of due to it coming from an independent publisher and being on so many peoples want lists. Issue 2 will 100% follow that trend. With a potentially low print run if you see this book grab it as it won't be an easy find down the line! Pre-order seems to be over on this - but the link is below 'just incase' Henchgirl #2 Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur #1 - Hip Hop VariantIt wouldn't be a comic picks of the week if we didn't include.a hip-hop variant and this week the selection goes to Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur #1. Get set for a potential hit for Marvel on this one as Lunella Lafayette a preteen super genius who wants to change the world learns it takes more than just brains to do this. Her life is turned upside down when a savage red-scaled tyrant is teleported from the prehistoric past to the future. A unique 'Marvel Team Up' for sure! Pick up issues below - Moon Girl & Devil Dinosaur #1 So there we go - another week and December up next! Plans are afoot to do an end of year review at some point so keep an eye out for that!

It was a slow week for picks last week of comics to choose from - however for releases on 18th November its business as normal as we are once again spoilt for choice. Six #1451 Media are back after a week off with their latest release - this time in the form of 'Six'. With Sunflower, Self Storage and Exmortis all being excellent reads and huge hits there is no reason why this won't follow the same path. When the wife of a former marine finds herself a target of a vicious Mexican cartel she ends up turning to her husbands old squad for help. Sergeant James McQuade and five former members of the Five-One Sand Scorpions find themselves outnumbered and outgunned against the most lethal and unpredictable enemy they ever went head to head with. It was someone else's war but it was their fight. Just the way they like it. Expect hit 4 out of 4 - as 451 continue to be the hot comic company of the moment. There are 2 covers to choose from - grab these below - Six #1 (Cover A Chater) Six #1 (Cover B Antonio) Star Wars - Vader Down #1Its no secret that we love the Star Wars Action Figure variants - so imagine our delight when it was announced that for Vader Down one of the variant covers would be in the style of an action figure checklist. Add this to the others whilst you can get it as we imagine this will be a popular cover! The story is set with Darth Vader accidentally finding himself facing off against the Rebel Fleet on his own. Grab this one below - Star Wars - Vader Down #1 Huck #1The third pick of the week comes in the form of latest Image title 'Huck'. In a quiet seaside town Huck uses his special gifts to do a good deed each day. His neighbours return the favour by keeping his abilities a secret - but when a newcomer alerts the media a firestorm erupts sending Huck on an adventure that will change everything. We could be wrong but this book screams movie or tv potential. As a #1 it's worth picking up - especially if this series becomes hot!
