Comic Picks of the Week - 9th September

Last week saw a fantastic selection of comics to choose from with a number of titles worth picking up for both reading and investing purposes.

This week is somewhat slower in terms of choice however as always we've chosen a selection that are worth grabbing.

Batman #44

First up this week comes Batman #44.

In issue #43 we saw the first appearance of Mr. Bloom - Gotham City's latest villain.

This issue gives the origin story of Mr. Bloom which should prove an interesting read.

Origin stories are great to pick up as if a character should take off and become popular people will want to get the issue that gives the background of where they came from.

Darth Vader #9

Star Wars just continues to get more and more popular - come December and the release of The Force Awakens the demand will reach fever pitch.

Right now any Star Wars comic is worth grabbing - with each book comes the chance of new characters - and even if you don't see any first appearances you still get some great stories!

This book continues the Darth Vader series. Marvel are running the show with the Star Wars line and these should be down as a must have on everyone's list.

Walking Dead #146

Last up this week comes The Walking Dead #146.

Always on my 'must read' list we are still eagerly awaiting to see if there is going to be any fallout from issue #144.

These books always hold potential on the chance you see a first appearance or death of a key character that may end up reflected on the TV show.

I tend to buy several copies each time and will do the same here......
